Learn: How To Rank At Top Of Google SERPs

How to Rank Better at Google SERPs

As you know that I am updating this personal blog of mine with whatever I think should be covered this and whatever I think represents my personality. So today’s topic is how you can rank your keywords at top of the Google search engine result pages.

So here is the first step:

1. Create A Website

Don’t create a blog!

This is the myth, nobody is going to tell you that websites do better than blogs.

But its the reality.

Don’t try your luck at starting a blog and then creating thousands of PBN links for ranking that blog posts that has nothing to do with your brand or product.

First of all you have to create a website and that website should be at WordPress VIP platform or it can be a custom PHP script.

There are many Content Management Systems available online at Codecanyon and other code platforms and if you can then hire a coder to code a great looking website with build-in content management system which should be a unique design and unique at coding which is displaying to Google bots.

I know that many professional bloggers and content marketers will disagree with this statement of mine that blogs can’t rank better than websites.

For all of them, I would love to say that I’ve personally tested this and in my experience (over many years) I have seen custom made websites on top and blogs are still crawling.

2. Don’t Create Backlinks

I know how much it is to create backlinks for getting good ranking at Google serps and all the experts are saying that creating high quality backlinks will lead you to rank your articles or websites at top of Google’s first page results.

I agree with them, but nobody is telling that when and how much links you have to create for a particular web-page to make that page get some kick in rankings.

So here’s when to create backlinks and how much of them you need:

  • Don’t create backlinks when there’s no content on your website/blog
  • First properly organize your website and add essential content (pages, articles, products and search engine with navigation)
  • Now create 2/3 backlinks to main domain from high quality websites (quora and others)
  • After creating 2/3 backlinks to the main domain now submit the website to search engines and submit a sitemap
  • Now after 2 days create 3/4 links to other pages of the website

Keep on creating 1/2 links per week for first month and leave one week without creating any backlink and now its time to create more content or add more products to the website and then create 1 link for each new page and that link should be from a high quality website.

Now, you may think that I am just using click-bait here by telling don’t create backlinks in the heading and in body I am saying that you should create one link for each page.

Well, there’s a chance for some keywords to rank without backlinks.

For example: If you have found a keyword with zero competition and 5K to 7K traffic. You should search that keyword in Google and now if top 10 results are not showing that keyword in their title or body but ranking for that keyword then its a chance for you to rank for that keyword without any backlink.

It means: When there’s something people are searching for but nobody is talking about that topic then you can write an article or blog post and do some social sharing to easily rank for that keyword without creating any backlink.

This is how I rank my client’s websites when they are creating new products and or sharing new information.

3. Don’t Ask Questions

This is another factor.

Its new and most effective thing in Google’s new algorithms.

Check I am using Learn word in start of this blog post’s title and that’s a real CTR booster and also its a word that telling Google that my page is about to teach my reader that how they can rank better at Google.

When you are using questions in page titles and then describing everything in the article body, Google bots will decide to rank other articles which are directly giving answers on that same question.

This is why I am using titles in a way to describe that here’s your answer man. Use your mind and create post titles with answering words not questioning.

4. Keyword Stuffing

Well, this is how newbies thinks that they can rank better on Google and cleverly fool Google algorithms.

Somehow for event blogs “it works”.

As for event blogs people search on event’ day and Google have to show pages to the user queries and then whatever bots can crawl they start showing to users.

If you are an event blogger then you may have experienced up and downs of different blog posts on the event days. That is why keyword stuffing works for event blogs but not for those looking to have long-term rankings.

So if you are hoping for long-term high rankings at Google search pages then don’t dare to stuff keywords in your pages.

5. Compromising On Content Quality

Content marketers are busy in creating backlinks and getting SEO guys to work on their published pages and help them rank high.

Many content marketers are now working with search engine experts directly and they create content for search engines to get instant ranking and complete their projects.

However, this is not the way to get more audience or massive organic traffic.

You have to create content for readers and needy people who are in search of solutions or news updates. You don’t have to create content for Google bots.

Bots can’t make you a sell or can’t help you engage your readers and have a great audience. You have to engage real people with your great content and the content they are searching for.

So always try your best to create only needy content and don’t be too robotic.

With that, here’s my last line for this blog post:

Don’t try to fool readers or Google bots and always do your best at content research and content creation. Its the best way to get more readers and high rankings.
